TeacherLists Feature: Data Insights

TeacherLists is excited to announce the release of Data Insightsa new feature that gives you in-depth details on your school supply lists, helping to simplify your list management!*

There’s plenty to be excited about with this new feature. As you explore the possibilities, here are our favorite ways to use Data Insights:

Finding what works

An exciting feature of Data Insights is the direct feedback you get from families. The numbers don’t lie. Here, you can see:

  • The number of families signed up to receive notifications that their supply list is ready
  • How many views your school supply lists received
  • How many families used both the In-store shopping checklist and the e-commerce retail buttons

This allows you to see how your school community is using your lists. With this information, you can figure out how to best distribute your lists and communicate with families. For example, if you post your school supply list on your school website one week, then email it home the following week, you can compare the number of list views and decide which form of distribution works best for your school community.

Plus, when you see how many families checked their list while in-store shopping vs. clicking the retail button, you can better understand the shopping habits of your school community families.

TIP: Families prefer to shop earlier than you think! If you post your list sooner, your List Notification numbers may be down, but you’ll see your List View figures skyrocket!

Staying organized

Data Insights are here to help you stay organized throughout the entire school year, whether you’re scheduling your school supply lists to post over the summer or taking down inactive lists from last year. Helpful figures include:

  • The number of published supply lists
  • Lists scheduled to be published

With these numbers in one central place, you can keep track of all the moving parts in real time, ensuring that no school supply list gets lost in the back-to-school shuffle! For example, if you know your school should have 18 lists, you’ll be able to track your school’s progress and ensure that every supply list is published before your set deadline.

Additionally, when a scheduled supply list is published, the “Scheduled Supply List” figure will go down, and the “Supply Lists” number will increase––no more tracking down a specific list to double-check.
