A simple countdown: Have your little one cut out their ball, cut the top and bottom of each square in each row on the ball, and weave strips of paper into each row for each hour you will be counting down. Hang it up and pull a strip for each hour that passes until the New Year.
Add a twist by writing a fun activity or task on each strip. Place the strips randomly for each hour and enjoy the activity you pull out each hour!
