How to Create your ChatGPT Doll

First, to use the image generator on ChatGPT, you’ll need to create a free account. Then, add your writing prompt! Modify our image-generating prompt (below) for inspiration or write your own. You can upload photos for each person you want to turn into a teacher doll (be sure to get their permission, first), or just describe with detail what you’d like each figure to look like and the specific accessories you’d like included, like “a to-go coffee”, “wearing a beaded lanyard with a teacher ID tag”, and instructions, like including your classroom decor or theme. Have fun with it!

Also, something to keep in mind: image generators still have difficulties understanding text, so often images generated that feature text may not render with the correct spelling of the text (for example, a “Dunkin” coffee cup may read “DNKN”). Be specific in your prompt to help guide image generation, e.g. “make sure the Dunkin coffee is clearly labeled DUNKIN’ “—you can even specify to use specific logos to help clarify!

After you’ve entered your writing prompt, ChatGPT Images will generate the image you’ve described. It may take several minutes to generate, depending on the complexity of your instructions. Once your image has generated, right click to save the file to your desktop, and share your doll!

Writing Prompt Starter for your ChatGPT Doll

Below is the ChatGPT writing prompt we used to create our image featuring a teacher—feel free to use this as your starting point or completely re-write your own:

Create an image: An action figure doll in premium packaging featuring one female doll dressed in a hot pink dress with pockets, a teacher ID on a beaded lanyard around the doll’s neck, a hot pink headband, hot pink dangling earrings, and flat, pink slip-on shoes. The doll has a plastic doll-like face. The doll has long brown hair. The doll has bendable arms and legs. The packaging includes the following accessories: coffee cup, a pack of crayons clearly labeled Crayola, a pack of Paper Mate Flair pens labeled with the Paper Mate logo, a box of tissues clearly labeled Kleenex, Post-it Notes clearly labeled Post-it Notes, Play-Doh, Clorox wipes, a Hershey’s chocolate bar, and pencils. The figure is displayed inside a plastic box with a classroom-style background and a classroom white board accessory behind the doll. The label at the bottom of the packaging reads in bold, cursive writing ‘Teacher’. Along the bottom, there is text that reads ‘A.K.A. Everyday hero!’ in handwriting font. On the box, near the label, there is a zig-zag call-out with text that reads ‘Classroom must-haves included!’
