Disappearing Pencils

Student’s ain’t afraid of no ghosts! This ghostly pencil topper is a classic craft that’s perfect for celebrating the season. Boo!

Eyeball Bingo

This makes for a great excuse to practice some of the week’s vocabulary words, but with a spooky twist!

Writing prompts

If you have some creative minds in the class or want to further develop certain skills, this activity is for you! Writing is a fantastic way to get the imagination going, and it can really set a spooky mood. Here are a few ideas for some spine-chilling Halloween prompts:

• Write a recipe for a witch’s brew
• Details on your students’ Halloween costumes
• Think of a haunted house–what does it look like?
• Create your own monster! What does it look like? How does it act? What does it sound like?
• What is your favorite Halloween memory?
• Tell a trick-or-treating story (either fiction or non-fiction)
• Imagine a ghost! Tell its story! Is it friendly? What does it haunt? How does it communicate?
